Whānau Kereru is our Year 6-8 class, led by Whaea Tash. Being our senior class, inclusive of Intermediate students, their curriculum is focussed around and driven by the school topic/theme with the integration of as many hands on, real life learning experiences as possible! Whānau Kereru aim to be active out in our community, supporting groups such as MOWS with their efforts around environmental sustainability. This year, they will attend multiple camps and outdoor adventure experiences throughout the year, to develop their leadership and teamwork skills, aswell as encourage personal growth and development!

Hi, I'm Whaea Tash!

I am the Whanau Tui Kereru kaiako and Deputy Principal here at Rangiuru School. This is my fourth year at Rangiuru School now.  I am so lucky to be a part of such an amazing school community!

A little bit about me...I have been in teaching for about 15 years now, both in Primary and Early Childhood, taking a few short stints on maternity leave in that time to have my boys, Nathan (7) and Cody (4). My whanau, which also includes my husband Ethan, Oscar the border collie and a few cats and sheep, live just up the road from school on a little lifestyle/bush block, where we enjoy lazy days at home, gardening, playing in the bush and hanging out with our animals. On the weekends and in the school holidays we love to go adventuring. Bike riding, bush walking, gardening, hiking, camping, kayaking, swimming and fishing are just some of our favourite things to do, which I also love to
